2025 Keynote Address
Dr. Sarah Gaither
Associate Professor
Psychology and Neuroscience
Dr. Sarah Gaither is the Nicholas J. and Theresa M. Leonardy Associate Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience and Bass Society Fellow at Duke University. Her research focuses broadly on how a person’s social identities and experiences across the lifespan motivate their social perceptions and behaviors in diverse settings with an emphasis on multiracial and multicultural populations.
Dr. Gaither has become a leader in the field of multiple identity and Multiracial research with over 75 publications and being a recipient of APS’s Rising Star designation, a Society for Experimental Social Psychology Fellow, a SPSP Sage Young Scholar and SPSSI Michelle Alexander Early Career Awardee. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, The Ford Foundation, The Russell Sage Foundation, The Charles Lafitte Foundation, and The Spencer Foundation. Dr. Gaither has also garnered media attention including The New York Times, Time Magazine, People, BBC, and NPR.
